Find my child: see where they are, with their consent

Every parent knows the moment. School ended twenty minutes ago, your call goes unanswered, and one question takes over: how do I find my child right now? Bilipito is a family locator built for exactly that moment. You see where your child is on a live map, and your child knows it, because location sharing in Bilipito is set up together and stays visible on their phone.

Bilipito comes in two parts: Bilipito on your phone and Bilipito Kids on your child’s phone, paired with a QR code. Parents can also open the same map in any modern browser at my.bilipito.com.

How do I find my child with Bilipito?

A live map, the battery level and “Find now”

The Bilipito map: three children and the “Home” place

Open the app and your child appears on the map with the phone’s battery level and the time of the last update. Tap “Find now” for a fresh location at any moment. To follow the way home, turn on live mode: the dot updates every 5 seconds while it is on. Outdoors, the location is usually accurate to within a few metres; inside buildings and in the metro it is less precise.

The day’s route, step by step

The day feed sorts the day into places, walks and rides, with stops, addresses, steps and distance. “Replay the day” shows the whole route on the map, step by step, so you see how your child got somewhere, not only where they are now.

Places: home, school, practice

A walk from home to school, with the school marked as a place on the map

Draw a place as a circle or an outline on the map, and you get an alert when your child arrives and when they leave. Add a schedule, and Bilipito also lets you know if your child “didn’t arrive by 8:00” or “left early”. And it suggests turning spots your child visits often into places.

“I’m here” in the family chat

Your child can send messages, photos and “I’m here” with a spot on the map. Messages are deleted from the server once everyone has them, and no later than 48 hours.

Parental location sharing your child agrees to

With Bilipito, your child shares their location with their parents and knows exactly what is shared. It is open parental control for families with children under 18: it is not meant for keeping tabs on adults, and it never works behind the child’s back.

Set up side by side

Connecting takes about five minutes and works best with your child next to you. Before anything is shared, you read the “What your family will see” screen together, and a teenager confirms it themselves. Only then are the permissions granted.

Your child always knows what you can see

This is what your child sees
  • Bilipito Kids has its own name and icon on your child’s phone.
  • While location is shared, the phone shows it: a notification on Android, the system location indicator on iPhone.
  • The “What your parents see” section in Bilipito Kids lists everything that is on.
  • On children’s Android phones, Sound around and the camera turn on only when a parent asks: live only, never recorded, and with a notification on the child’s phone.

What stays private

Bilipito does not collect contacts, SMS, call logs, browser history, conversations in other apps, the photo gallery, typed text or screen content. No ads, no selling of data. Places and routes are kept for 30 days, then deleted. The details are in our privacy policy.

When something goes wrong

SOS and a loud signal

Your child presses and holds SOS. They have five seconds to cancel, then every parent gets an alert with the location, even at night, and the family sees who has already responded. Bilipito is not an emergency service: in danger, call 112 or your local emergency number. If the phone is lost at home or in a backpack, the loud signal makes it ring, on Android even in silent mode. More about the SOS button.

Phone status alerts

Bilipito tells you if location is turned off, a permission is revoked, the phone goes offline, the battery runs low (10% and 5%) or Bilipito Kids is deleted. Without internet, the phone stores its location points and sends them once it is back online, for up to 7 days.

Safer on the street, too

“Phone while walking” works on children’s Android phones and stays off until you turn it on. Once it is on, if your child walks for more than 30 seconds with eyes on the screen, their phone reminds them to look up. You are told only about cases longer than 2 minutes, with no address and nothing about what was open. Daily app limits and school or bedtime schedules are there when your family needs them, and calls and SOS keep working. More on parental control and on limits and Phone while walking.

Start in five minutes

  1. Install Bilipito on your phone and sign in with email or Google.
  2. Tap “Connect the child’s phone” to get a QR code.
  3. Install Bilipito Kids on your child’s phone, read “What your family will see” together and scan the code.

Your child needs a phone with Android 10 or newer, or an iPhone with iOS 17 or newer. The first 7 days are free, and one “Family” subscription covers 2 adults and 2 children. The full walkthrough is in how to set up, every feature is on the features page, and you can read how your child’s phone works as a kids GPS tracker.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find my child’s phone right now?

Open Bilipito or my.bilipito.com: your child appears on the map with the battery level and the time of the last update, and “Find now” requests a fresh location. If the phone is offline, you see the last known location; if it is lost at home, the loud signal makes it ring.

Does my child know their location is being shared?

Yes. You set up Bilipito Kids together, and your child reads the “What your family will see” screen before any permission is granted. While location is shared, their phone shows a notification (on iPhone, the location indicator), and the “What your parents see” section lists everything that is on.

Can I see my child’s location without them knowing?

No. Bilipito Kids is always visible on the child’s phone with its own name and icon, and your child sees what their parents can see. Bilipito is only for families with children under 18, not for keeping tabs on adults.

Do I need a smartwatch or a separate GPS tracker?

No. Bilipito works on the phone your child already has: Android 10 or newer, or an iPhone with iOS 17 or newer. You get the map, the day’s route, places with arrive and leave alerts, an SOS button and the phone’s battery level.

How often does my child’s location update?

Often and precisely while your child is moving, less often at rest to save battery. In live mode, the dot updates every 5 seconds.

What if my child’s phone goes offline or the battery runs low?

Bilipito tells you when the battery drops to 10% and 5% and when the phone goes offline. The map shows the last known location, and the phone sends its stored points once it is back online, for up to 7 days.

Does Bilipito replace emergency services?

No. The SOS button alerts every parent with the location, even at night, but in danger call 112 or your local emergency number.
