Family locator app: all your children on one map

One map for the whole family

The Bilipito map: three children and the “Home” place

Bilipito is a family locator app in two parts: Bilipito on your phone and Bilipito Kids on your child's phone, paired with a QR code. Once the two are connected, all your children appear on one living map with trees, water and live weather. At a glance you see where each child is, since when, and how much battery their phone has left.

Everyone who looks after the children can see the map too. The Family subscription covers 2 adults and 2 children, and you can add more, up to 4 adults and 8 children: the other parent, a grandparent, a nanny. Each adult uses their own app or the web dashboard, and the family owner decides what each of them can see, such as the history and places.

Live mode when you need it

While your child is on the move, the location updates often and precisely; at rest, less often, which saves battery. To follow a trip, turn on live mode: the dot updates every 5 seconds while it's on. "Find now" fetches a fresh location with a single tap. If the phone goes offline, the map keeps the last known location and shows when it was last updated. See the live map features.

The same map on a computer

The web dashboard at my.bilipito.com works in any modern browser, with the map, the day feed, places, chat, limits and rewards, just like the phone app.

Zones: home, school and the places in between

Places: home, school and grandma’s, a frequent place

A zone (the app calls it a place) is a circle or an outline on the map: home, school, a sports club, grandma's. Each one can work differently:

  • Regular and safe places tell you when your child arrives and when they leave.
  • Expected places follow a schedule, so you hear "didn't arrive by 8:00" or "left early".
  • Restricted zones send an alert the moment your child enters.

Bilipito also lets you know about a long stop somewhere unusual, and suggests turning places your child visits often into zones. It takes the accuracy of each location point into account, so it doesn't confuse "near" with "inside". At night, only important events disturb you. How places and schedules work.

The day's route, without phone calls

The day feed: places, walks and rides
Replay the day: The whole day’s route on the map, step by step

The day feed sorts your child's day into places, walks and rides by itself: stops with addresses, how long they stayed, steps and distance. Open Replay the day to watch the whole route on the map, step by step, and compare this week with earlier ones. Places and routes are kept for 30 days, then deleted. Route and day replay.

When something's wrong

Bilipito Kids: the SOS button

Your child presses and holds the SOS button. They have five seconds to cancel, then every parent gets an alert with the location, even at night. The family sees who has already responded, and only a parent can close the alert. How SOS works.

Bilipito also tells you when the phone itself needs attention: the battery drops to 10% and then 5%, location is turned off, a permission is revoked, the phone goes offline or Bilipito Kids is deleted. A loud ring helps find a misplaced phone. Bilipito does not replace emergency services: in danger, call 112 or your local emergency number.

A family that stays in touch

The family chat is one shared space for messages, emoji, photos and "I'm here" with a spot on the map. Each message is deleted from the server as soon as everyone has it, and no later than 48 hours. A wave, a heart or a hug takes one tap, and the apps and notifications come in 20 languages, so every family member can use their own.

For your child, Bilipito Kids is more than a dot on a map: steps and a daily goal, badges, quests and brain games that count as screen time. When you need it, you can also set app limits and phone-free time and, on your child's Android phone, turn on Phone while walking: if your child walks with eyes on the screen for more than 30 seconds, the phone asks them to look up. It stays off until you turn it on, and it stays quiet inside your zones.

No secrets from your child

Family location sharing in Bilipito is for families with children under 18, not for keeping tabs on adults. Bilipito Kids never hides: before connecting, your child sees the "What your family will see" screen, and while their location is shared, their phone shows it (a notification on Android, the location indicator on iPhone). No ads, no selling of data. Details are in our privacy policy.

Set up the family locator app in five minutes

  2. Tap "Connect the child's phone" to get a QR code.
  3. Install Bilipito Kids on your child's phone (Android 10 or newer, or an iPhone with iOS 17 or newer), read the "What your family will see" screen together and scan the code.

Frequently asked questions

What is a family locator app?

An app that shows where your children are on a map. Bilipito comes in two parts, paired with a QR code: Bilipito for parents and Bilipito Kids on the child's phone. You see each child's location, battery level and route for the day, and get alerts about places and SOS.

Can both parents and grandparents see the map?

Yes. The Family subscription includes 2 adults and 2 children, and you can add up to 4 adults and 8 children (+$0.89 a month per extra adult, +$0.49 per extra child). Each adult uses their own app or my.bilipito.com, and the family owner decides what each of them can see.

How do home and school alerts work?

Save home, school or any other spot as a place: a circle or an outline on the map. You get "arrived" and "left" alerts. A place with a schedule also tells you "didn't arrive by 8:00" or "left early", and entering a restricted zone triggers an alert at once.

How long is the location history kept?

Places and routes are kept for 30 days, then deleted, backups included. The day feed shows stops with addresses, steps and distance, and you can replay the day on the map.

Does my child know their location is shared?

Yes. Bilipito Kids never hides: before connecting, your child sees the "What your family will see" screen, and their phone shows when their location is being shared. Bilipito is only for children under 18.

Which phones does Bilipito work on?

The child's phone needs Android 10 or newer, or an iPhone with iOS 17 or newer. Parents use the Bilipito app on Android or iPhone, or the web dashboard my.bilipito.com in any modern browser. A family can mix Android and iPhone.

How much does Bilipito cost?

New families get 7 days free. Then the Family plan (2 adults and 2 children) is $3.49 a month or $31.49 a year, with every feature included and no ads. The app store shows the price in your currency.
